Performance and Interactive Media Arts (PIMA)

Brooklyn College 2018

A class at Brooklyn College with Professor Jared Mezzocchi, award winning broadway projection designer, where each week students had to create an interactive performance art piece. This piece is about a fictitious group of anonymous artists that hide their identity to create performance art pieces that mock and challenge totalitarian states in countries where regime critique can be deadly or dangerous. This piece focuses on the Supreme Court confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh which, at the time, felt like a surreal and horrific blow to our justice system. In hindsight it was only the beginning of such violations but we were responding to the possibility of the future Supreme Court trauma that ultimately came to pass shortly after.
